Imbotero Research Center: Merging Coastal Communities & Science (2022)

in Audio

Imbotero Research Center: Merging Coastal Communities & Science (2022) is the latest documentary released by REEL Guyana. Sound editing, dialogue editing, and re-recording mixing was provided by Split An Atom’s Hammy Havoc and I, and Stuart Routledge was assistant re-recording mixer.

The documentary focuses on the Imbotero Research Center (IRC) in the Barima-Mora Passage Area (BMPA). The Guyana Marine Conservation Society (GMCS) relocated and repurposed two buildings from the Shell Beach Protected Area to the BMPA to provide housing for international researchers who want to study the biodiverse area.

In the documentary, there are interviews with environmentalist, Anette Arjoon; Marine Biologist, Sarah Singh; and the first researcher to stay at the IRC, Robert Holtzman.
